General Information :

Children aged 6 months and older  : IBUPROFEN is prescribed for reduce fever and relieve mald to moderate pain and symptoms of juvenile arthritis.


Adult : for relief of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (arthritis caused by swelling of the lining of the joints). and osteoarthritis, relief of mald to moderate pain and treatment of menstrual pain  (pain that happens before or during a menstrual period).  , joint pain, stiffness, tenderness.

Off-Label (Newly Discovered uses) :
rheumatoid arthritis, Inflammatory dieases, mild to moderate pain or fever or dysmenorrheal

Precaution :

- Alcoholism may increase the risk of bleeding.

- Do not exceed 3200 mg/day.

- Take Ibuprofen with food or an antacid to avoid stomach upset.

- Ibuprofen may cause severe toxic effects to the kidney.

- Peptic ulcers and bleeding can occur without warning.

- People who take Ibuprofen may have a higher risk of having a heart attack or a stroke than Other.

- Ibuprofen may cause blurred or impaired vision, including changes in color vision.

- Ibuprofen may prolong bleeding time. If you are taking blood-thinning medication, this drug should be taken with caution.

- Ibuprofen can cause water retention. It should be used with caution if you have high blood pressure or poor heart function.

- Ibuprofen may make you unusually sensitive to the effects of the sun.

 Food Interaction

 Alcohol, Cat’s claw, dong quai, feverfew, ginseng, garlic, ginger, ginkgo, red clover, horse chestnut, green tea, evening primrose.

Drug Interaction

Aspirin, Beta blockers, ACE inhibitors, and diuretics, oral anticoagulant (blood-thinning) drugs such as warfarin. Coumadin, Histamine (H2) blockers, sulfinpyrazone (Anturane), Ofloxacin , Ritonavir (Norvir), Tacrine (Cognex), Cyclosporine (Sandimmune), valproic acid, Tacrolimus (Prograf), Fosphenytoin (Cerebyx) or phenytoin (Dilantin), Lithium, valporic acid (Depakene), Alendronate (Fosamax), Digoxin, Methotrexate cimetidine Probenecid Aspirin and other salicylates Antibioticst, anticoagulantst, eptifibatide (Integrilin).
